Great AYCE hot pot and Japanese BBQ spot. They have some tables where you can do both bbq and the hot pot. Each person gets their own pot and you can pick two different broths! Which I thought was so awesome! The vegetable selection was decent, lots of things to choose from. The milk tea was really good. Our friends had the beef curry that they offer and said it was fantastic!

One of the best hotpot places I’ve ever eaten at!! The meats are incredibly delicious and although the stations for picking your own foods is slightly limited compared to other places, it is more than made up for by their meats available. The fish was incredibly soft and the lamb was very flavorful. They also have milk tea and calico on tap basically. And for dessert, there is self-serve Ice cream. The available flavors are butter pecan, strawberry cheesecake, mint chocolate chip, and cookies and cream.

I usually don’t make reviews but this place deserves all the love. The service was exceptional! Super funny and sweet servers that kept us up to date on what time our table would be ready, gave our table all the information we needed on where to find self serve food and drinks, got all of our broths and meats out super super fast. The checking up on our table never felt annoying or pushy, the atmosphere is cozy with air conditioning and air from the open door which was so nice to balance out the hot food. The amount of food you get for the price is insane, the miso soup is arguably the most delicious miso soup i’ve had in a WHILE!!!! I had like 3 bowls… HEAVY LOVE FOR THE GUY WHO GAVE US THE BLACK CHERRY ICE CREAM TUB 🥳

Kanpai BBQ and Shabu, located in the heart of Convoy District, offers an affordable, quality All-You-Can-Eat Dining experience featuring Hot pot/Shabu and Korean BBQ, with the option to enjoy both. For their KBBQ meats, the M-8 Wagyu Steak, Wagyu Brisket, and Chuck Eye were worth mentioning as they were high-quality and had a nice, juicy flavor. For the Hotpot, 2 broths could be chosen from their selection of 8 broth bases. Additionally, the meal also includes bottomless sodas/fruit tea, endless appetizers (e.g., Fries, Beef Curry, Miso Soup, Rice), alongside access to their sauce and salad bar. For dessert, try their Crispy Golden Buns with Condensed Milk or their Ice Cream bar, in which your sweet cravings won’t be disappointed. The staff was very accommodating and attentive during our overall dining experience. Parking isn’t too difficult, but keep in mind that the lot is shared with several other restaurants, which can get chaotic during peak hours. If you’re in the mood for Hotpot/KBBQ or both, look no further! :)

I can't say enough good things about this place. The quality, taste and variety of hot pot food was out of this world, and the service was amazing because our server is not only warm and friendly but highly informative and helped us decide from so many tempting choices with his expert description of everything. and there's no complicated pricing. One price for everything. That's it. Simple! His recommendations were perfect. We will definitely be back!
